Faculty Profile

ALYQUE PADAMSEE :-

Mr. Padamsee has been described as the “God of Indian Advertising“ by the media. The Ad world calls him “The advertising man of the century”, an honor which aptly encompasses his contributions to the Indian industry. A career spanning five decades, both in Theatre and Ad world, speaks volumes about his credentials. In 2001, he was bestowed with “Padmashree” by the Government of India. He has authored his biography “a double life”, which is a must-read-book for all those who want to excel in life.

Mr. Alyque Padamsee is currently heading his own venture-AP Advertising Pvt. Ltd., a well-known Image and Marketing Consultancy Company that provides consultancy services to a number of national and multinational companies.

For 14 years, Mr. Padamsee was the Chief Executive of Lintas India. He was greatly instrumental in making Lintas one of the top agencies in the country. He went on to become the Regional Coordinator of Lintas South Asia and stayed there until his retirement. Known also as the Brand Father of Indian Advertising, Mr. Padamsee has built brands like Liril, MRF, Dalda, Bajaj,Park Avenue, Captain Cook, Surf, Cherry Blossom, Spartek Tiles, Kitply Plywood, Reynolds Pens, Jet Airways, Timex Watches, Monte Carlo, Calcutta's Telegraph newspaper, Close-up Toothpaste and of course, the brand that created a sensation, Kamasutra.

Mr. Padamsee is also the guru of the English Theatre in India and he was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award for Theatre by the Sangeet Natak Akademi.

Internationally, Mr. Padamsee is well-known for his portrayal of Mr. Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Sir Richard Attenborough's Gandhi. He is also the only Indian to be voted into the International Clio Hall of Fame, the Oscars of World Advertising.

He is a well known Social Activist. He serves on the Prime Minister's National Commission on Population, and on the Steering Committee of the Tenth 5-Year Plan. He is on the Advisory Board of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT, Powai) and is a member of the Entertainment Export Council Board.

Jimmy George - Leading Trainer-Consultant for top companies, Founder of ACTS-India, Corporate Advisor to a 1500 Cr. fast growing Indian Conglomerate, worked as Group VP for an Indian diversified group in pharmaceutical & consumer products industry, was instrumental in the creation of some of the mega brands in the pharma industry. Besides an MBA and PG Diploma in Management, he has two diplomas in computers and multimedia, underwent executive training in Wharton School of Management and Dale Carnegie Inst.USA. He will be sharing a few of his original models and concepts on presentation in this program.
